Kindsight is led by an experienced management team with expertise and deep relationships from the networking, security and online applications domains:

Basil Alwan, Chairman of the Board and CEO

In addition to his role at Kindsight, Basil is President of the Alcatel-Lucent IP Division (IPD) and Head of Portfolio Strategy for the Alcatel-Lucent Networks Group. Basil joined Alcatel-Lucent through the acquisition of TiMetra Networks where he was Founder, President and CEO. Since the acquisition, Basil has presided over growth of the IP Division to more than US$2B in revenue per year overtaking rival Juniper Networks as the #2 routing vendor to service providers in Q4 of 2010. Basil has been working with Kindsight since it’s founding in 2007.

John Saull, CFO

John is a professional accountant with over 20 years of experience including senior financial positions at Newbridge Networks, Arthur Andersen & Co. and KPMG.  John was also a founding partner of Venture Coaches Fund LP, a Canadian based venture capital firm.

Rob Gaudet, VP, R&D

With over 20 years experience in networking and software development, Rob has led development and product management teams at Nortel Networks, CrossKeys, Meriton Networks and most recently at Alcatel-Lucent.

Denny Lee, VP, Product Management

Denny has over 20 years of product management and engineering experience in the fields of networking and media technology. Previously at Alcatel-Lucent IP divison, Denny helped drive business strategy and product manage the highly profitable multiservice networking unit.

James Long, VP, Advertising Sales and Operations

With 15 years of online media expertise, James has led advertising sales for recognized online consumer and technology properties at United Business Media, Nextag, and most recently ValueClick’s U.S. shopping and search properties.

Kevin McNamee, Security Architect

With over 30 years of security and networking experience, Kevin was Director of Security Research at Bell Labs and also held security development and design roles at TimeStep, Milkyway Networks, Newbridge Networks, and Alcatel-Lucent.

Brian Pratt VP, Business Development

With over 20 years of networking and sales experience, Brian has driven business development and sales activities that resulted in the pioneering first sales and penetration of untapped markets at Meriton Networks, Nexus Telecom, Ascom Zelcom AG and Nortel Networks.

Brendan Ziolo, VP, Marketing

With over 15 years of security and technology marketing experience, Brendan has launched several start-ups and built their brands when he held senior marketing roles with Sipera, Certicom, Espial and TimeStep.
