Director, Business Development, Europe

Location: any of Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, or UK

Kindsight is seeking a Director, Business Development, Europe, to join its global team. This key individual will be a dynamic hunter with a track record of successfully initiating and closing business with service providers to drive Kindsight revenue growth in Europe. Combining strong existing relationships, excellent relationship-building skills, and technology depth, the successful candidate will articulate both the business value and functionality of Kindsight solutions to all levels of the service provider organization. Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic business development plans and individual account plans
  • Account management and development of existing Kindsight European customers
  • Deliver Kindsight revenue growth through development of new service provider customers in Europe
  • Leverage existing relationships and develop new relationships, across the service provider’s marketing/product and technology teams, primarily through on-site meetings and product demonstrations, as well as via teamwork with Kindsight’s European channels including the parent company, Alcatel-Lucent
  • Position and differentiate Kindsight’s solution capabilities and value proposition
  • Develop proactive proposals and prepare responses to customer RFP/RFIs
  • Conduct post-sales activity to foster long-term customer loyalty and future business.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience and success in service provider business development or sales
  • University and post-graduate business and/or technology training are assets
  • Sophisticated verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and as many as possible of French, German, Spanish, and Italian
  • Depth in understanding of Internet service delivery technologies, to enable rapid learning of Kindsight solution
  • Ability to articulate business value and functionality across service provider marketing/product and technology teams.
  • Multi-level selling from working level through to C-level.
  • Frequent travel across Europe for face-to-face contact with Kindsight customers and prospects, channel partners, and occasionally to Kindsight offices in North America
  • A self-motivated, proactive and innovative business development hunter with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
