The Federal Trade Commission (FTC’s) national education campaign - AvoID Theft: Deter, Detect, Defend - aims to empower consumers to protect themselves against identity theft and to minimize the damage it can cause.  The FTC’s Identity Theft website is a one-stop national resource to learn about the crime of identity theft. It provides detailed information to help you deter, detect, and defend against identity theft. 

OnGuardOnline.gov provides practical tips from the federal government and the technology industry to help you be on guard against Internet fraud, secure your computer, and protect your personal information. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) maintains OnGuardOnline.gov.

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA)’s mission is to empower and support digital citizens to use the Internet securely and safely, protecting themselves and the cyber infrastructure. NCSA is the pre-eminent public private partnership to promote cyber security awareness for home users, small and medium size businesses, and primary and secondary education.
