Kindsight offers you an additional layer of protection against identity theft and other attacks for all the computers in your home network. Working with your Internet Service Provider, Kindsight detects online threats, send you alerts, and helps you remove the threats before any theft occurs.

Once you opt-in to the service, Kindsight immediately begins to analyze your Internet traffic for threats that can lead to identity theft. It works when your anti-virus software does not because criminals cannot disable the Kindsight service since it is embedded in the service provider network.
There are two components to the Kindsight Identity Theft Protection service: Home Network Alerts that indicate a successful infection has been detected in the subscribers home network; and Web Site Warnings that indicate someone in the household has visited a web site that is known to be suspicious.
Here’s how the service works
When a threat is detected that places your personal information at risk, Kindsight alerts you by SMS, email or mobile app to inform you that your computers are no longer protected.
You click on the link in the email to get more details about the threat and step-by-step instructions to fix the problem. At any point in the process, you can also contact the service provider’s premium care/support service for assistance.
Logging into the Kindsight Security Portal shows you Your Security Status that is, in this example, high risk, or red, since an identity theft threat has been found. You also have a web site warning at the moderate risk level because someone visited a suspicious web site from your home network.
You click the green Protect Me Now button to find out how to fix the problem. The step-by-step protection wizard shows you how to remove the threats and ensure your computers are protected.
Before you begin the process, Kindsight will check to see if the threat came from that computer in your home network. If it did, the steps you need to take to remove the infection begin. The first step, in this example, is to remotely run a Scan and Clean tool that removes the infection.

After the scan is complete, Kindsight will take you through any additional steps to address other potential vulnerabilities that could place your home network and personal information at risk.
The next step could be to check the computer to make sure the operating system and other applications are up-to-date. And, when all the software has been updated on your computer, the wizard will tell you to run up-to-date anti-virus software on the computer to ensure the system is entirely protected.
In this example, only one computer was infected in the home network so when the process is complete your security status will change to green to let you know that all known threats have been removed. You can login to the Kindsight portal from anywhere at anytime to see your security status.
Using the same technology as the most security conscious corporations, the Kindsight service doesn’t slow down your computer or Internet connection and complements your computer-based anti-virus software to strengthen the security of the home network. The Kindsight service is offered for a monthly fee or, like many other Internet applications, at no-cost through relevant advertising.
